Thoughts: With a basic plot structure that reminds me of Kevin Bacon’s 1986 bicycle drama Quicksilver and a title that sounds more like an energy drink, the jury is out on how wise a choice this was for Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s rising popularity. I’ve a feeling this will turn out to be one of those standard thrillers that will hit all the right notes without harming a fly and quickly fade from memory. Still, with writer/director David Koepp onboard (responsible for the screenplays to Jurassic Park, Death Becomes Her, Mission: Impossible) this could have the potential to find me eating humble pie when it’s released in August. I just can’t get over that title…why not Ride Like Hell which is featured prominently in the trailer?
