The Silver Bullet ~ “Polisse” Trailer

Synopsis: A journalist covering police assigned to a juvenile division enters an affair with one of her subjects.

Release Date:  May 18, 2012

Thoughts: While The Artist was winning a bunch of awards stateside, over in France two other movies gave it a serious run for its money.  One is The Intouchables (read my review here) and the other was this hard-boiled police drama that made a big impression on the French people.  Directed by and starring Maïwenn (who played the blue-skinned diva in The Fifth Element) this appears to be no vanity project – especially in a movie that deals with the abuse of children.  That might be a hard sell to the popular American theater chains but I look forward to getting the opportunity to see this one at one of our local art-house spaces.

It’s poll time again!

Even me, a die-hard movie fan, has a list of movies they are ashamed to admit they either haven’t seen or don’t remember seeing.  I’m not going to air all my shameful misses now…but here are three that I sincerely regret not seeing.

You hold the cards (or remote, if you will)…let your vote be counted!

Voting is open until next Friday (May 25) and please leave a comment as to why you chose what you chose!
