The Silver Bullet ~ The Big Wedding

by Joe Silver Bullet - Trailer Park • Tags: Amanda Seyfried, Christine Ebersole, Diane Keaton, Justin Zackham, Katherine Heigl, Lionsgate, logo, Robert De Niro, Studio, Susan Sarandon, The Big Wedding, Topher Grace, Trailer

Synopsis: A long-divorced couple fakes being married as their family unites for a wedding.

Release Date:  October 26, 2012

Thoughts: Yeesh!  This looks pretty bad.  With its plot ripped straight from any number of television shows, TV Movies of the Week, and a few comedies from each decade of cinema, The Big Wedding features an impressive cast in a less than impressive looking trailer.  Robert DeNiro appears to be making film choices based on a dartboard system and Susan Sarandon (while looking amusingly…refreshed) may have had the word “I’ll pass” removed from her vocabulary.  Diane Keaton, too, is slumming it here but maybe she couldn’t resist the cream colored couture she’s decked out in.  The fourth Oscar winner in the mix is Robin Williams who looks to be reverting to his gibberish-fueled performances.  It’s the kind of trailer that seems to be advertising all the reasons to not see the movie…especially showcasing Comedy Kiss of Death Katherine Heigl who has no business in this (or any) film.
