Thoughts: Wes Anderson remains decidedly hit or miss for me. For every The Royal Tenenbaums there has been a The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. His last film was the glorious The Fantastic Mr. Fox and from what I see of this trailer, there is a live-action continuation to the color and style first presented in that stop-motion animated feature. Anderson has again assembled a strange crew here but all are actors who are more than up for the challenge (and who may need it!). May is the beginning of the summer blockbuster season so it’s interesting this will be released around the same time in a counter-programming move by the studio.
