Synopsis: WWII vet Eddie Boyd is torn between providing for his young family and an unfulfilled dream of becoming a Hollywood star. He discovers a way to do both, but his dream leads him down a path of danger and tragedy.

Thoughts: Scott Speedman is a better actor than he’s been given credit for.  True, from a guy that started out playing second fiddle to the second tier show “Felicity” there was a certain image to overcome as he made the transition from TV heartthrob to big screen star.  I think there are probably better actors out there but Speedman has always been an interesting anomaly to me.  He more than held his own in the taut The Strangers and he was a nice second banana (again) to Kate Beckinsale in a couple of the Underworld movies.  Citizen Gangster has the benefit of being based on true events and actually looking kinda interesting.  It will be available on iTunes or through Netflix before you know it so it might be wise to give this one a try.
