Thoughts: The newest delivery from Quentin Tarantino boasts a testosterone heavy cast and controversial plot…so pretty much your general Tarantino picture. What I enjoy so much about Tarantino is his attention to every detail for his audience. A clear lover of all things filmic and passionate about perfection, you know that every scene, line, and piece of music has been carefully selected. Tarantino doesn’t include much that is superfluous and even though his pictures can feel a bit padded there’s no denying that when he releases a picture it’s sure to be a memorable experience. While maybe not your typical Christmas fare, Django Unchained should prove to be another strong entry in the Tarantino canon.
