Synopsis: Beauty Is Embarrassing is a funny, irreverent, joyful and inspiring documentary featuring the life and current times of one of America’s most important artists, Wayne White.

Thoughts: My favorite documentaries concern subjects I have absolutely no previous knowledge on.  Beauty is Embarrassing seems to be one of those films as it revolves around the life of an artist whose work may be familiar to those that enjoyed Pee Wee’s Playhouse but has by choice seemed to operate on the fringe of the art world. Now, just because I don’t know him doesn’t mean he isn’t quite a name…which is why this is one of the more intriguing documentaries coming out this fall.
