Synopsis: The documentary-like story of a yellow Labrador Retriever guide dog for the blind named Quill. We follow Quill from the litter, his selection to become a guide, his life with a foster family until his first birthday, followed by highly specialized schooling in guiding the sightless.

Thoughts:  Oh no…I have the feeling this is going to make mincemeat of my tear ducts.  Which I will gladly take in stride if it’s as good as the trailer makes it out to be.  Made in 2004, it could be so easy to have made this a saccharine pup film and being that it’s a foreign entry I’m hoping that it’s not the case.  We Americans like to make our films too sweetly sentimental whereas foreign countries always seem to be realistic about their endeavors.  Either way…I’m going to shed a few tears…I can already tell.
