Synopsis:  An airline pilot saves a flight from crashing, but an investigation into the malfunctions reveals something troubling.

Thoughts:  Lately I’ve been a bit tired with Denzel Washington.  I feel he plays variations on the same characters and while that has proven to be good for the box office, I want Washington to push himself more.  He’s too talented to put himself out to pasture ala Harrison Ford and stick with genre pictures.  He takes a step in the right direction with the newest picture from Robert Zemeckis.  While Zemeckis has, of late, been more focused on motion-capture animated films he makes a return to live action with a drama starring Washington as a pilot who goes from being a hero to the center of a media firestorm.  I must admit that I was unaware of this until I saw the trailer but am quite interested to see how this one turns out when it’s released in November.  I can guarantee you this…it’s a movie that won’t be shown as in-flight entertainment.
