Synopsis: In 1921, England is overwhelmed by the loss and grief of World War I. Hoax exposer Florence Cathcart visits a boarding school to explain sightings of a child ghost. Everything she believes unravels as the ‘missing’ begin to show themselves.

Thoughts:   Here’s a nicely spooky trailer for this UK production that takes place at a creepy boarding school in the English countryside.  There’s something about horror films made in foreign countries that intrigue me because they often don’t adhere to the formula that most Hollywood films run by.  They can be unpredictable and quite scary so considering it’s period setting and smart cast I’m crossing my fingers that The Awakening is as atmospheric and frightening as it looks to be.  I’ll be seeing it in the next week or so from the safety of my home that isn’t haunted….right?  I mean, RIGHT?
