Thoughts: Notable really for being the first movie that Rumer Willis has a sizable role in, this film looks to be a true indie pic all the way.   It’s these little movies that tend to sneak up on you and I’ve actually read several good things about the film and Willis’ performance.  Now judging by the trailer this is your standard tale of boy and girl seaside romance that is fetted by secrets and doubt…but maybe there’s something more here.  It’s anybody’s guess if Willis has the chops to make this acting thing work but everyone deserves a fighting chance, right?

Thoughts: Before Henry Cavill is turned over to Warner Brothers as its newest Man of Steel, he is getting in a few action flicks to pad that bank account should Superman not be the blockbuster it is hoping to be.  What we have here is a plot that has been recycled from countless man-in-peril-with-family-in-similar-jeopardy angles and two aging (but still effective) stars in supporting roles.  Bruce Willis has never met a cop role he couldn’t take on and I’m liking Sigourney Weaver’s reclaimed love of villainous women roles.  Weaver being bad is more than enough to entice me into the theater for this one…and here’s hoping it provides solid escapist entertainment that goes down easy.
